A police mobile was involved in a road accident after it was hit by a pickup truck from behind on the expressway in Barangay Trapiche, Tanauan City, Batangas.
According to the police, the police vehicle was going to park on the side of the expressway for a scheduled police visibility and assistance activity when the incident occurred.
The front part of the pickup truck was damaged while the rear part of the patrol car was also affected.
Edgar Fabregas, Chief Investigator of the Tanauan City Component Police Station, said.
The driver of the pickup truck, who reportedly suffered chest pain due to the airbag deployment, was taken to the hospital by the police.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The police, pickup truck driver, and the driver's company are discussing the incident, as of this writing.
Fabregas reminded the public to be careful, especially on expressways.
