A 16-year-old boy died while the woman driving their motorcycle was injured severely after they crashed into a mixer truck in Dipolog City.
Police said the two were heading home when their motorcycle reportedly overshot and crashed into the approaching truck.
The victims were not wearing helmets and their heads hit the concrete road.
The boy did not reach the hospital alive while the 18-year-old woman is in critical condition, as of this writing.
Col. Edwin Verzon, said.
The truck driver was detained while police are waiting for the victims’ families if they will file charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and physical injury against the truck driver.
