Three individuals, two of whom were soldiers, died in an accident involving a tricycle along Vergara Highway, Barangay Valle Cruz, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
Based on police investigation, the tricycle was on the road when a sports utility vehicle (SUV) hit it from behind.
This caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and the tricycle veered to the opposite lane, and collided with a tanker.
The tricycle driver and his two passengers, both soldiers, died. Another passenger, also a soldier, is undergoing treatment at the hospital, as of this writing.
The driver of the SUV and the tanker truck were placed under police custody and are facing charges.
