A 34-year-old businessman from Barangay Pug-os, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, was arrested after authorities found a homemade shotgun in his house.
The arrest stemmed from a tip received by the police regarding the suspect allegedly firing the shotgun.
The suspect has denied owning the firearm. He is facing charges for illegal possesssion of firearms.
Police said the suspect may have been using the firearm to scare people.
“According ken detoy suspek tayo, nagpaputok ta kasla pangsaywar na kano pangbotboteng na kasdiay siguro,” PLT. Richard Pajo, Deputy Chief of the Cabugao Police Station, said.
