Renie Leaño, the 74-year-old woman who went viral for throwing rocks at motorists who passed her house in Barangay Bulbulala, Vintar, Ilocos Norte, has apologized.

"I’m already tired, I’m psychologically, morally, mentally stressed na... kaya humihingi naman ako ng dispensa," Leaño said.

Following the viral CCTV footage showing her throwing rocks at passing vehicles, the once-busy road in front of her house has seemingly quieted down.

However, she claims that some motorists continue to make noise when passing by.

She has stopped throwing rocks after the CCTV footage spread on social media, but she warns unruly motorists:

"Hindi na ako nambabato pero kapag ginalit ako, lalo na ng mga bastos, itong angle bar ang ibabato ko sa inyo," Leaño said.

The last incident of rock throwing reportedly occurred on March 6, 2024.

Leaño also has a message to vloggers, accusing them of profiting from her situation without permission.

“Kayong lahat na vlogger, kung wala akong permiso [wag ieere]... magkano [man] ang kinikita niyo, ako yung sumasakit yung katawan, that’s very unfair," she said.

Authorities have reportedly intervened and have asked Leaño to stop throwing rocks to prevent causing injuries on motorists.
