A 22-year-old man died after he was hacked to death by his co-worker in Barangay 4, Lipa City at their workplace.

Investigation showed that the two reportedly drank liquor before the incident.

CCTV footage showed the suspect talking with the victim before dragging him suddenly to the stairs nearby. Later, he hacked the victim several times. The victim tried to run away but was cornered in the bathroom. Another co-worker arrived, took a peek in the bathroom, and left like nothing has happened.

The victim's girlfriend said her boyfriend had no known enemies or figured in conflicts.

Wala po iyang nakakasamaan ng loob diyan," she said.

As of this writing, the suspect and two other individuals seen leaving the scene of the crime are still being pursued by authorities.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear.

Ricardo Cuevas, the Chief Investigator of the Lipa City Police Station, said.

The victim's girlfriend is seeking justice.

Barangay officials are eyeing at deploying more personnel to patrol the area.

"Paigtingin natin dito 'yung dagdag na pagbabantay at pagmo-monitor sa ating nasasakupan, at the same time makuha natin ang full details ng nasasakupan natin para mayroon tayong pagkakakilanlan," Paulo Soriano, the Barangay Captain, said.
