Three people were killed while another was missing after a landslide hit Purok Buongon, Sitio Saranga in Barangay Poblacion, Maragusan, Davao de Oro on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
The search and retrieval team has already retrieved three dead bodies identified as Ananias Andoy, 56; Virginia Buhian, 59; and Jerlyn Lada, 12.
The search and retrieval operation for the missing victim identified as “Felipe” continues.
According to the local government, the landslide occurred at around 9:30 a.m. due to non-stop rains.
“Ang lokal nga pang-gamhanan sa lungsod sa Maragusan nagpaabot sa among pahasubo sa kinatibuk-ang banay ug pamilya sa mga biktima,” the municipal government of Maragusan said in a Facebook post.
