As for Tribu Silak of Iloilo City National High Schol which was chosen Best in Choreography/Choreographer and Best in Performance, it was not disqualified contrary to information shared on various social media platforms.

Silak received deduction in points because of a violation reportedly on the size of props or set identified as a “crow” (uwak ) that affected the contingent's overall score.

Meanwhile, Tribu Paghidaet of La Paz won Best in Production Design.

‘TRIBU SILAK NOT DISQUALIFIED’

Eric Divinagracia, artistic director of “Dinagyang Festival 2024,” said that Tribu Silak was not disqualified. The contingent's overall score went down after points were deducted for violation of guidelines on use of props.

He said tribe managers and choreographers are already aware that props or sets should not exceed 12 feet tall and dimensions should not be beyond 10 feet.

Tribu Silak’s overall score received reportedly a deduction of 10 points from each judge.

Divinagracia clarified that Tribu Silak is eligible to receive their technical awards - Best in Choreography, Best in Performance, and People's Choice.
