A motorcycle rider was killed while his wife and two children were injured in a hit-and-run incident in Lamitan City, Basilan.
The rider was identified as Dennis Manalo, who sustained fatal injuries in the head. His wife and two children also sustained wounds in different parts of their bodies and are now recuperating.
Police said the victims were on their way home when a van cut into the lane of the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.
The van immediately fled the area after the incident.
Operatives found the van in Barangay Kabangalan, Ungkaya Pukan but the driver is nowhere to be found.
Authorities are still pursuing the suspect.
