Police Major Allan De Castro, the primary suspect in the disappearance of beauty pageant contestant Catherine Camilon, has been dismissed from service.
The decision is based on the results of the investigation and evidence gathered by the Regional Internal Affairs Office 4A.
According to PRO-CALABARZON, the dismissal order was signed on January 16, 2024, which also signifies that De Castro is no longer under restrictive custody.
Authorities will continue to monitor De Castro while the case against him is ongoing.
The driver-bodyguard also implicated in the disappearance of the victim has surrendered to the police, on January 9, 2024.
Camilon was seen last on October 12, 2023 in Lemery, Batangas.
