The Special Investigation Task Group (SITG-Bolor) has identified a person of interest in the killing of a dentist in Calapan, Mindoro, and is offering a P300,000 reward for information that will lead to the suspect’s arrest.
The police are validating information about the person, as of this writing.
"May mga information silang ano, sinusundan, in connection with the POI na tinitingnan nila," PCapt. Michelle Selda, Chief PIO of Oriental Mindoro PPO, said.
SITG-Bolor was formed after Dr. Ting Bolor, a dentist and councilman of Barangay San Vicente Central, Calapan, Mindoro, was killed in his home on January 15, 2024.
The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) examination said the victim sustained 50 stab wounds in different parts of his body.
There was no sign of struggle or resistance from the dentist, the police said.
"As per SOCO report din po, wala po silang nakitang struggle, eh, pero they are, sabi ko nga po, hinihintay pa rin namin 'yung ibang result kasi nag-DNA test po [kami] ng ibang ano [evidence] katulad ng sa nails," Selda added.
