A seven-year-old girl died in the hands of a 22-year-old man who allegedly subjected the minor to physical abuse in Barangay Pili, Sariaya, Quezon.
Based on investigation, the suspect allegedly told the girl and her eight-year-old friend they would go and see the mother of one of the children because she was reportedly looking for them.
PMaj. Romar Pacis, chief of the Sariaya Police, said.
Since the children knew the suspect, they went with him. However, the suspect took them to a vacant lot and it was there he allegedly hurt them. He allegedly choked and beat the seven-year-old girl.
The victim’s eight-year-old friend, also a girl, managed to escape and sought help from the victim’s father.
When the police arrived in the area, the victim was already wounded, had bruises, and covered in blood.
The police said the suspect has a history of mental problems, which is reportedly common knowledge among residents of the barangay.
The suspect is facing charges.
