The City of Kabankalan in the Province of Negros Occidental opens its “49^th Sinulog sa Kabankalan” festivity. 

The opening salvo began with the offering of a Holy Mass.

A traditional “sadsad” (informal term to mean “dance”) followed.

The celebration was made more colorful and livelier with the dazzling performances of Kapuso stars in the "Kapuso Fiesta" at the Kabankalan City Public Plaza.

The audience sang along with Matt Lozano who serenaded them.

“Alam mo sobrang masayang-masaya ako dahil first time ko sa Kabankalan. Very thankful ako na habang tumutugtog ako kanina, lahat sila natutuwa,” Matt said.

Beauty Gonzalez brought her sunshine and charm in Kabankalan that wowed the fans.

“Sobrang masaya ako at maraming salamat po sa pag-imbita sa akin ulit dito. Happy Sinulog,” Beauty told revelers.

The “kilig” (a feeling of exhilaration or elation) was switched on the moment Kapuso loveteam Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay went onstage.

“Sobrang thankful kami dahil ang init ng pagtanggap nila sa amin. Sana makabalik kami ulit dito,” Allen said.

“Super saya. Iba din mag-perform pagmasaya ang crowd. Yun yung naramdaman dito sa Kabankalan,” Sofia chimed in.
