Men in dresses, wigs, and makeup took to the streets of Minalin, Pampanga in a festive display of camaraderie during the 92nd annual Aguman Sanduk celebration, delighting residents with a lively street dance competition.
Known as the "Fellowship of the Ladle," Aguman Sanduk began in the 1930s as a way for men to cheer their wives and neighbors up during a time of drought and famine.
The tradition features men from different barangays dressing as women, borrowing dresses from their wives and mothers, and donning wigs and makeup for the event.
Participants, from young boys to senior citizens, showcased their creativity through colorful outfits and energetic performances.
"Reyna ning Sanduk" was awarded to the most humorous and striking costume.
In addition to the street dancing, a float parade highlighted the best products of each barangay.
