Calix and Kaide, healthy twin boys, were among the babies born on New Year’s Day at the Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) in Dagupan City.
The twins were born to 22-year-old Nica Navarro who wishes for her boys to grow up healthy and God-fearing.
“[Sana] lumaki silang hindi sakitin at ligtas kami sa mga biyahe,” she said.
R1MC Chief Resident for OB-GYN, Dr. Hannah Camacho, emphasized the significance of welcoming new lives at the start of the year.
“Since January 1 is Bagong Taon at nakakatanggap tayo ng blessings on New Year, very special po ‘yan,” she said.
In total, four New Year babies were born at R1MC on January 1, 2024.
