The Christmas season has allowed a group of young drummers in Ilocos Norte to earn some money out of their passion for music.

The group has earned up to P10,000 a night from playing carols and they will reportedly use the money for new instruments.

The drummers, all from Ilocos Norte National High School in Laoag City, start to push their large drums and other instruments to the city’s streets around 4 p.m.

Their energetic performances have brought joy to the community, with residents sharing their blessings happily as Christmas gift to the young musicians.

For the drummers, their activity is more just about raising funds - it’s also about sharing their talent and love for music with everyone they meet, especially during the holidays.
