She has visited places in and out of the country.
She has dined in posh restaurants.
She has purchased various things she has a fondness for.
All of these have been achieved by 24-year-old young entrepreneur and virtual assistant Kaye Estacio of Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City.
However, the road to the comfortable life she is enjoying today was strewn with thorns and stumbling blocks.
Despite the circumstances, she used the challenges to inspire her get past the hindrances.
At 17 years old, Kaye was a working student who pursued Liberal Arts and Commerce.
Aside from providing for herself, she also had to support her parents. She had to walk seemingly on a tightrope with the skill of an acrobat to keep a balance.
“I was running for Latin honors sana. Kaso, I have to look for money. Supporting myself to college was really hard because I have to schedule my classes, everything in the morning so that I can work in the afternoon,” Kaye shared.
She was a student in the morning, and an English tutor in the afternoon. She also sold bouquets of flowers inside and outside of school.
Fresh from college graduation Kaye was able to land a job as a virtual assistant immediately. Owing to her communication skills and English proficiency, she was able to entice a good number of clients.
She has been given the opportunity to provide work for former classmates who were hired for the company she is serving.
She ventured into rentals of chairs and tables.
John Frederick is one of her former classmates she had assisted.
“Alam ko na ang success na tinatamasa niya, deserve niya talaga. Sa ipinamigay at itinulong mo sa akin, maraming salamat sa ‘yo,” John conveyed.
As for Kaye, she prays earnestly that more opportunities would open doors for her to be of help to more people.
“I’m gonna give more. Nang ako na naka-earn, I have this drive to keep on working because I want to help those around me,” Kaye expressed.
One of her posts suggested her mantra: "No matter what you achieved in life, may you continue to work like you haven't made it yet."
