Unique and creative mini-Belen displays crafted by Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are featured in the Christmas display in Lingayen, Pangasinan.

Made from recycled materials, these Christmas creations are now on display in front of the municipal hall.

One standout piece features a Belen made from broken belts and used razors.

"Gumawa kami gamit ang recycled, pinakita rin namin ang pamumuhay before dito sa Belen," Elsie Palisoc, one of the creators, said.

The nine mini-Belen pieces took nearly a week to complete.

"Kahit may kapansanan kami, kaya rin namin gumawa ng mga ganito," Maribel Samson, another creator, said.

The Lingayen municipal hall and plaza lit up with the Christmas displays during a lighting ceremony.

"It will signal the onset of Christmas talaga," Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil said.

This year’s Christmas celebration in Lingayen centers on themes of unity, compassion, love, peace, and progress.
