In a unique twist during the Bacarra Festival in Ilocos Norte, one parade float delighted onlookers by throwing live catfish to the crowd instead of the usual candies.
The parade, which kicked off the town’s festivities, featured floats from various barangays, each carrying their respective muses and showcasing Bacarra’s rich culture, traditions, and livelihoods.
However, the float handing out live catfish stole the spotlight and sparked excitement among the spectators.
Residents caught the fish eagerly as they now have a fresh ingredient ready for their next meal.
