“Chicken inasal” (roast chicken) tops the list.

“Chicken inasal” has been recognized by an online travel guide as the Number 1 of Top 100 Filipino dishes.

Other interesting food items that have wowed foodies include Ten-yen cheese coin, a local rendition of pancake-like bread filled with melted mozzarella cheese and shaped like a 10-yen coin.

“Once makakain sila, ma-enjoy talaga nila dahil pag kinain nila, ma-stretch nila,” Risa Genovia, a food entrepreneur, said.

A smorgasbord of refreshing, thirst-quenching drinks is offered: fresh juices, shakes, coffee – choices overflow.

Visitors along with their friends, loved ones, and relatives are observed to have bonded over good food and drinks at Lacson Tourism Strip leading to the grand festivity on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

“Unwind-unwind and to enjoy the food. To see different people and other places,” Rose Esdano, a tourist, shared of her purpose in coming to Bacolod City.

On the other hand, stall owners who have experienced the effects of the inclement weather leading to the grand day, capitalize on the influx of foodies in the city.

“Mayroon kaming preparation na mga "inasal." Magkita tayo mamaya at makisaya,” Christian Soriaga, a stall owner, said.
