Pangasinan State University (PSU) showcased a display of ASEAN cultures in a vibrant float parade, a highlight of its month-long 45th founding anniversary celebration.

The float parade featured floats from the school’s nine campuses and university offices.

Each float celebrated the rich cultural elements and traditions of ASEAN member countries, including the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.

"With the vision to become a leading industry state university in the Asian Region by 2030. The industry we are referring to is the future workplace of our students," Dr. Elbert M. Galas, PSU President, said.

Each float highlighted key landmarks and national costumes from the represented countries, enhancing the cultural appreciation and unity among Southeast Asian nations.

"Nagiging opportunity po ito para ma-appreciate ng bawat isa ‘yung iba’t-ibang culture natin," Sunshine Cruz, a student, said.

The parade is part of PSU's Internationalization Week, a key feature of its 45th founding anniversary celebrations.
