Claire Masajo-Aboyme, a 48-year-old mother from Bacolor, Pampanga, bagged silver and bronze medals at the the 2024 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Long Beach, California, USA.

Balancing her roles as a part-time host, judge, and full-time mother and wife, Aboyme has always had a passion for singing.

Her journey to singing began by performing in front of her parents' guests, eventually leading her to compete in various competitions throughout her life.

One of Aboyme's career milestones was representing the Philippines at the 2024 WCOPA.

Despite falling ill just days before the event, she still managed to perform and bring home medals.

“Nagkasakit ako, nagkalagnat ako, namalat ako, nawala ang boses ko up until June 30, the night before my performance,” Aboyme said.

“I've been waiting for this chance to share my miracle with God... at exactly 12 noon, nagkaroon ako ng voice," she added.

Aboyme competed in five categories, earning a silver medal for her original works entry and a bronze medal in the R&B category.

“Alam ko na feeling nina Carlos Yulo and the Team Philippines na lumaban sa Olympics. It’s just the same, talent Olympics ang WCOPA," Aboyme said.

Aboyme's dedication and talent have not only made her family proud but have also brought honor to her country on the global stage.
