All ties considered, a total of 111 takers made it to the list of the top-performing individuals in the August 2024 Psychometricians Licensure Examination, 63 of which are aspirants who represent schools from the regions. 

The results of the recently concluded board exams for Psychometricians were announced by the Professional Regulation Commission on Tuesday, August 20.

The impressive performance was headlined by Chiqui Patio, the 22-year-old solo-topnotcher from Pampanga. The BS Psychology alumni of Holy Angel University (HAU) garnered a total percentage score of 88.00% to claim solo first.

“Right now… top priotity ko is to rest for a while. Ever since 4th year, tuloy tuloy po yung journey ko from OJT to activities tapos deretso review agad… After that, definitely I'm planning to pursue a career sa clinical setting because that's really my dream!” said Patio during an interview with GMA Regional TV News.

Fellow Kapampangan and HAU graduate Airis Roshaine Gomez ranked second overall after scoring 87.20%.

Bulacan’s Jasmine Cruz Diaz (Bulacan State University-Malolos) and Cebu’s Alliah Parojinog (University of San Jose-Recoletos) also stood out by tying at third place, shared with two other achievers.

Four newly minted pscyhometricians who came in at fourth place are also from the regions: Baguio’s Justine Latawan and Mark Lander Tallungan (Saint Louis University), Pampanga’s Kaye Lorenzo (University of the Philippines-Angeles City), and Iloilo’s Lourcynth Pineda (University of San Agustin).

12 out of the 18 takers who placed in the top five are from the regions, while 63 of the 111 total topnotchers in the top ten list are non-NCR graduates.

7,478 out the 10,717 total takers passed the exams, good for a 69.77% national passing rate.

Meanwhile, from an institutional standpoint, three schools based in the regions were able to make the list of the top performing schools nationwide. Baguio’s Saint Louis University, Cebu’s University of San Carlos, and University of Mindanao-Davao City ranked sixth, seventh, and tenth, respectively.

Quezon City-based Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) topped the list with a 107/108 performance, good for an impressive 99.07% passing rate.

Three Manila-based schools located along the university belt also had impressive showings after each garnering passing rates that are north of 90% – second-ranked Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) with 98.25% (112/114); third-placer University of Santo Tomas UST) with 96.80% (212/219); and fourth-ranked De La Salle University with 94.62% (88/93).
