Joshua Intal had a unique opportunity to photograph the Perseids meteor shower in Capas, Tarlac, capturing the rare celestial event on August 13, 2024.

According to Intal’s Facebook post, he observed over 10 meteors during the event.

Out of the numerous meteors, Joshua was able to capture two on camera between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.. His photography also included impressive images of the Pleiades star cluster, Mars, Jupiter and its moons, and the Orion Nebula.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said the meteor shower was considered one of the best in 2024.

The Perseids reach their peak in mid-August when Earth intersects with the dust cloud left by Comet Swift-Tuttle.
