The local dish Pancit Batil became the center of attention in the Pavvurulun Afi Festival in Tuguegarao City, attracting at least 20 participants to the cooking and eating contests.

Each contestant brought their own unique style and speed to the cooking process. However, the criteria for winning were not only anchored on taste but also on the cleanliness of preparation and cooking.

The competition also emphasized the variety of toppings, including popular choices like crispy pork, spring rolls, and chicharon bulaklak, among others.

Following the cooking contest, the excitement continued with a fastest eating contest. The freshly cooked Pancit Batil Patung from the participants disappeared quickly.

The Pavvurulun Afi Festival aimed to highlight the culinary pride of Tuguegarao City, bringing the community together to celebrate and enjoy this iconic local dish.
