Davao Region’s delegation (Region 11) reigns supreme at the National Schools Press Conference 2024, claiming the overall national title in historic fashion after successfully dethroning nine-time defending champion CALABARZON (Region IV-A).

Davao Region's victory, its first in NSPC history, marks the end of CALABARZON's nine-year dominance at the country's most prestigious campus journalism meet. 

The former champion settles for third place.

Rounding out the top five are the National Capital Region (NCR) who placed second, Region 3 at the fourth spot, and Region 2 finishing fifth overall. 

Notably, Davao’s historical win came a year after its maiden finish in the 2023 nationals, falling short against perennial champions CALABARZON.

The five-day national tournament, hosted in Carcar City, Cebu, concluded its festivities earlier today, July 12, at the Carcar City Gym.
