Julie Anne San Jose and Stell’s upcoming collaboration concert in July is a treat to all the fans who have witnessed them grow into the sensational and multi-awarded performers that they are today. Their currency: a grateful heart and a passionate soul for their craft, and the cardinal self-belief that transcends even their career’s biggest achievements.

In an interview with GMA Regional TV News, Julie Anne and Stell talked briefly about their recent career successes and the meaningful opportunity to share a single stage in “JulieXStell: Ang Ating Tinig,” a two-night extravaganza on July 27 and 28.

The Asia’s LImitless Star is firm in her belief that there can be no success without an enduring passion for one’s craft. “Puso. Pag wala kang heart and soul, it will not come out naturally.”

Coming off a sold-out concert with the Queendom Divas last December, the Kapuso singer-host-actress said that a successful concert performer is one whose focus is unfazed and unburdened, and who always finds a way to stay the course even in the face of pressure and exhaustion.

“Magiging pilit sya, magiging burden sya sayo. Pero kung may puso ka, ibibigay mo lahat at magiging dedicated ka sa trabaho mo, because you’re passionate with your craft. When you love your job, talagang it must be easy for you– your performance will be easy and not feel like a burden,” she shared.

Stell, meanwhile, reflected on his relatively young but massively decorated career both as a solo artist and a member of the famous boy group SB19.

It is not the mere downpour of awards and recognitions that gives him a sense of fulfillment. Rather, it is the resulting self-confidence that Stell has built over time that he considers his career’s greatest feat thus far.

“Feling ko, more than the career, ang biggest achievement ko has been building my self confidence, kasi yun yung for me pinakamahirap ma-build even for a regular person,” shared the “The Voice Generations” judge.

Stell believes in the transcendental power of self-esteem that goes beyond an artist’s onscreen and onstage career.

“Yung yung number one na kailangan ng tao– self-confidence. Kasi kung may skill ka at alam mong nag-eexcel ka pero wala kang confidence, hindi mo maipapakita yung best version of yourself. Hindi mo maishe-share sa ibang tao yung gusto mong ibahagi, kasi wala kang tiwala sa sarili mo,” he reflected.

This is precisely the reason why beyond his overwhelming number of awards and records since entering the scene in 2016, he considers his newfound self-confidence as his most beloved achievement.

“For me yun talaga yung greatest achievement ko so far– yung masuportahan ko yung sarili ko sa mga bagay na gusto kong gawin, at kahit na mag-fail ako okay lang sa akin kasi gusto ko yung ginagawa ko, andun yung happiness ko,” he added.

Julie Anne and Stell is set to share the stage for their very first collaboration concert called “JulieXStell: Ang Ating Tinig,” slated on July 27 and 28, 2024 at the New Frontier Theater.

Directed by Paolo Valenciano, tickets for the two-night concert are now available via TicketNet outlets nationwide or through ticketnet.com.ph.
