A tricycle driver in San Fernando, Camarines Sur earned the admiration of the public after he returned a bag that contained P300,000.

The driver, Mario Delos Santos, found the luggage on the side of the road while going through his usual route.

He made the decision to return the bag to set a good example to his children. He turned the bag over to the San Fernando Police's Motorist Assistance Center.

"[Pig] turnover ko si [maleta] ta habo man ko kang arog kaiyan na bako ko man sadiri—makokonsensiya man ako kaan kung angkinon kong bako sako, kaya naisip ko [i]deretso ko, [i]surrender ko sa pulis," Delos Santos said.

Delos Santos said he did not know that the bag contained money until it was opened by the police.

As it turned out, the luggage belongs to a seaman returning to Masbate from Metro Manila. It was returned to its rightful owner six days after it was found.

The seaman was thankful for Delos Santos's honesty.

Delos Santos did not ask for anything in return but the owner gave him a reward as a token of gratitude.
