The LGBTQIA+ community in San Andres, Catanduanes, celebrated Pride Month with a vibrant Pride March, undeterred by heavy rain.
Nearly 200 people from various towns across the province joined the event. Participants wore colorful outfits to emphasize their importance and visibility in the community.
The activity is part of the global Pride Month celebration this June.
"Tayo po dito sa San Andres, Catanduanes ay nakikiisa sa celebration ng Pride Month, at tayo po ay nagsusulong ng inclusivity at equality across all sectors of the society particularly po dito sa members and alies ng LGBTQ," Mark Anthony Gianan, Municipal Youth Development Officer, said.
