Julie Anne San Jose and Stell of SB19 are set to wow fans anew in their upcoming concert in July, a prophesied collaboration that fans have been dying to see for quite some time now. “JulieXStell: Ang Ating Tinig” marks the first time that they will share a stage, for a back-to-back showcase no less, and it means a lot for the duo who have always admired each other’s musical range and work ethic.

Their fun and competitive banter all season long as rival coaches in The Voice Generations (TVG), topped off with a powerful impromptu duet rendition of “Habang May Buhay” that made rounds online, were a perfect preface for this collaboration concert between the Asia’s Limitless Star and SB19’s multi-hyphenated singer-dancer-songwriter.

As they ramp up their preparations for their back-to-back musical spectacle on July 27 and 28 at the New Frontier Theatre, Julie Anne and Stell cannot help but be reminded of all the good reasons why they are each other’s admirers.

“Si Stell, palagi siyang masaya. Palagi siyang magaan katrabaho. He always tries to make the vibe very vibrant and just happy. Palagi siyang good vibes,” shared Julie Anne, who described her fellow TVG coach as the “life of the party.”

It is no surprise, therefore, that the two are genuinely fond of working alongside each other because Stell, on the other hand, loves Julie Anne for virtually the same reasons: her seemingly bottomless energy and undamped spirits.

“Never mo sya makikitang napapagod, or nawawalan ng energy. Minsan yung mga shoot namin umaabot ng 2am, hindi mo makikita sa mata nya na pagod siya. Hindi niya ipaparamdam na inaantok sya,” he said of the Kapuso singer-actress, “so pag ganun yung nakikita mo sakanya, nahahawa na rin ako.”

Stell’s professionalism– his willingness to give his 101% day in and day out; and Julie Anne’s next task mentality– her natural ability to learn on the fly and adapt even when facing setbacks, are two of the many traits that are crucially important for both artists knowing that the next two months of preparation will be rigorous.

“It’s really his professionalism. Pag nagpe-perform kasi si Stell or nasa work place siya, he delivers his 100%. He is just always committed,” Julie said of SB19’s main vocalist.

The Asia’s Limitless Star, meanwhile, was described by his concert partner as a brilliant learner and an excellent performer, an admirable trait that she carries even in the most stressful and confusing times.

“Si Julie kasi, as an artist ang bilis niya mag adjust, mag-adapt sa mga bagay bagay. Konting adjustments, alam nya kaagaad. Hindi sya malilito,” he noted.

“Game na game siya (Julie Anne) kahit ano pang ipagawa mo sakanya pagdating sa performance, kasi makikta mong love na love niya yung ginagawa nya so hindi nya ipapakitang nahihirapan sya,” Stell added.
