Up to 40 sacks of mussels were used to prepare up to 18 dishes during the first ‘Tahong Festival’ in Barangay Pamurayan, Sorsogon City.

The dishes were served on a 400-meter-long table set up in the middle of the street for a boodle fight.

Known for its beautiful locations, Sorsogon City is also renowned for its abundance of shellfish.

Due to the success of this event, the barangay plans to make the celebration an annual tradition.
