The Calamba City Jail Male Dormitory in Laguna hosted its own version of the traditional Santacruzan, featuring six members of the LGBTQ community.
The event saw the participants parading and showcasing outfits accompanied by selected consorts. The activity aimed to give Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) a sense of freedom to participate in cultural festivities similar to those outside.
It also served as a gesture of support for the LGBTQ community so they do not feel marginalized.
Special prizes were given to those who participated in the event.
