Multi-hyphenated Julie Anne San Jose, dubbed as “Asia’s Limitless Star” for her all-around excellence in all her endeavors, remains a solid Kapuso as she signed a fresh contract with GMA Network on March 12, 2024.

A very grateful Julie Anne expressed her appreciation for everybody who has been with her throughout her 18-year showbiz journey, turning emotional while delivering her message during the event.

“Today is such a blessing for everybody, especially for me… Grateful ako sa Panginoon para sa araw na ito. Thankful ako sa lahat ng blessings na natatanggap ko, sa buhay na pinagkaloob, na andito ako sa GMA - of course GMA Network, maraming salamat sa pagmamahal, at sa tiwala niyo po. Thank you so much for believing in me, my talent and my capabilities,” said Julie.

“I also want to thank Sparkle, maraming salamat sa inyo. Sa GMA Entertainment Group, thank you so much. To all the people I've worked with - GMA Synergy, GMA News, kay Ms Nessa, sa GMA Pictures, kay Atty. (Felipe) Gozon, Sir (Gilberto) Duavit (Jr.), Sir (Felipe) Yalong, Ms. Lilybeth (Rasonable), Ms. Annette (Gozon-Valdes), Ms. Joy (Marcelo), maraming salamat po,” she added.

In attendance to show support for the 29-year-old singer-actress were GMA Network’s Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, GMA Network’s President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Gilberto Duavit Jr., GMA Network Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Mr. Felipe S. Yalong, GMA Network’s Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group Ms. Annette M. Gozon-Valdes, GMA Network’s Senior Vice President for Entertainment Ms. Lilybeth G. Rasonable, and GMA Network’s Senior Vice President for Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy Mr. Oliver B. Also present were Vice President for Musical Variety, Specials and Alternative Productions Ms. Gigi Santiago-Lara, GMA Network’s Vice President for Entertainment Group Ms. Janine Piad-Nacar, and Assistant Vice President Ms. Enri T. Calaycay.

Julie Anne commenced her showbiz career as a GMA artist, signing her first contract with the network at the tender age of 11.

“18 years na po, 11 years old ako nagstart pumirma ng contract sa GMA, nung una parang syempre bata pa ako noon, hindi ko pa alam saan… tatakbo yung career ko, hanggang sa lumaki po ako sa GMA and dito na ako nag-grow - hindi lang bilang artist, hindi lang bilang singer at performer, dito nabuo ang pagkatao apart from home,” she recalled.

The multi-awarded performer-actress is the perfect epitome of a Kapuso homegrown. She first joined Little Miss Philippines in 1998, before formally joining “Sugarpop,” a child musical group derived from the singing variety show, “Popstar Kids.”

“Kaya tinawag na ‘Limitless Star’ si Julie - hindi lamang sa kanta, sa hosting, sa drama - in, short walang limit ang kanyang kakayahan. And I am very proud… Congratulations, kami ay nagpapasalamat na you chose to stay with GMA and we are very very proud of you,” said GMA Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon.

Looking back - 18 years - I remember the very first contract and all the renewals, and immediately I recall how you’ve evolved, how you’ve changed, somehow blossomed. Bukod-tangi ka hindi lamang sa pagkanta, sa pag-host, at maging sa harap ng camera, your versatility is unique and your achievements up to this point are commendable and outstanding,” added GMA President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Gilberto Duavit Jr.

At present, Julie Anne wears many hats and excels impressively in everything that she does. She’s been part of a top-billing drama series, leads a powerful ensemble of vocal divas in the “Queendom,” and continues to be a mainstay in the weekend variety show “All-Out Sundays.”

A full-fledged entertainer and artist, she’s had multiple sold-out concerts, and is a well-loved performer in GMA Regional TV events and engagements.

“Grabe, hindi ko alam ang nararamdaman ko, napaka-speechless. Kaya nga tinawag na Kapuso kasi dito, maffeel mo ang love ng mga tao na nakasuporta, gumagabay, at tumutulong sayo na mag improve sa craft mo,” said the ‘Queendom’ diva.

“I am forever proud to be a Kapuso,” she added.
