Joaquin Domagoso’s winning performance in the 2023 film “That Boy in the Dark,” for which he bagged home multiple Best Actor awards, was honored by the House of Representatives through a resolution.

In a resolution filed on September 14, 2023 by the Special Committee on Creative Industry and Performing Arts, the 22-year-old Kapuso actor was given well-deserved congratulations and commendation for “winning several international awards for his role as lead actor in the film That Boy in the Dark.”

As such, Joaquin, the son of actor-turned-politician and host Isko Moreno Domagoso, graced the opening ceremony of the CREATE House of Representatives Art Exhibit on February 19, 2024.

His acting stint in the Adolfo Alix jr.-directed film showcased an impressive acting prowess that captured the attention of international award-giving bodies.

For his performance, the young Domagoso was awarded three Best Actor plums (Toronto Film and Script Awards, Five Continents International Film Festival, and Boden International Film Festival); a Silver Winner Lead Actor award (Latitude Film Awards); and Best Youth Actor recognition (New York Cinema Independent Awards).

Joaquin will be starring in the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime offering, “Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law.”
