King of Talk Boy Abunda has said on his TV show that celebrity couple Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque have called it quits, ending days-long speculation regarding their relationship status.

On the February 6, 2024 episode of 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' the talk show host confirmed that Bea and Dominic have parted ways, but clarified that the two have recently talked in an attempt to “try to understand each other.”

“As we talk today, yes, hiwalay po si Dominic at si Bea,” Abunda said.

Abunda said Bea and Dominic have been going through a rough patch but the two may still be trying to fix the situation. 

“Sinusuyo ba si Bea, are they still trying to talk - siguro, maaari. Dahil sino ba naman ang ayaw maayos ang ganitong klaseng problema,” he said. 

“As a matter of fact, from good sources, kagabi o noong isang gabi lamang, nag-usap muli si Dominic at Bea... they are trying to understand each other,” Abunda said.

The veteran showbiz host, however, remains uncertain about the status of the now-former lovers’ situation moving forward.

“Magkakabalikan ba ito, magtatagumpay ba sa panunuyo si Dominic, o sila ni Bea, we don't know. Wala pong makakasagot ng katanungang iyan but of course my prayer is that - may God grant them what is best for them.”

Netizens have triggered speculations over the couple’s separation after noticing their absence in each other’s recent social media posts, further pinpointing that Bea’s engagement ring was missing in one of her photos on Instagram. 

This was further fueled by veteran showbiz personality Ogie Diaz’ update on the issue in his Youtube vlog dated February 3. 

The confirmation of their breakup came nearly seven months after they announced their wedding engagement on social media. 

The two got fans excited when Bea uploaded a carousel of photos on Facebook on July 19, 2023, where she officially announced that Dominic had popped the question while she was “in the middle of the shoot” on a “balmy afternoon in Las Casas” on July 18. 

“I didn’t want that moment to end. I want this real thing to happen forever.. And right then there.. In front of the people we love.. we decided on forever,” said Bea in the caption.

Bea and Dominic's relationship lasted for three years, officially becoming a couple in January 2021.
