Fans of GMA Network’s trending variety show "Running Man Philippines" will have more to look forward to for its second season as Miguel Tanfelix is announced to be its 7th runner.

He joins a stellar cast in Glaiza de Castro, Mikael Daez, Buboy Villar, Lexi Gonzales, Kokoy de Santos, and Angel Guardian.

The revelation was made through an exclusive video announcement aired on an episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda yesterday, January 23, bolstering the excitement for the show’s second season.

All six runners, dressed in full winter clothes while enjoying the snow in what seems to be a public park, were full of energy and good vibes when they welcomed Miguel to the lineup.

“Overwhelmed ako, unang-una ang saya niyo kasama, and pangalawa, snowing dito sa Seoul, Korea. So very thankful ako sa Running Man at pinayagan nila akong ma-experience ito,” said Miguel when asked how he feels now that he’s officially a member of the show.

“Okay, Miguel, with that, we officially welcome you to the “Running Man Philippines” family!” remarked Mikael, followed by a group hug with all the runners.

Another key development is Ruru Madrid’s status on the show. Tito Boy bared that the Kapuso Primetime Hero, who’s an original runner during the variety show’s pilot season, will still be a member despite taking on a different role.

“Ruru Madrid is still part of ‘Running Man’, except that itong season na ito, he will take on a special role,” said Tito Boy.

The show’s upcoming season will be a winter special, as the ‘runners’ have already set foot in South Korea where production will take place for more than 40 days, according to Nelson Canlas’ report on 24 Oras’ Chika Minute.

Running Man Philippines is GMA Network’s adaptation of a reality-comedy game show of the same name that originated in South Korea, and is co-produced with SBS Korea.
