The Jose Rizal Plaza in Calamba City, Laguna, is adorned with outdoor Christmas installations, featuring giant lanterns, a tunnel of lights, and a festive carnival offering of chill and thrill rides for both children and adults.
Maolen Karla Boholano, Head of Cultural Affairs, Tourism, and Sports Development, said, "Aside from that marami po ritong mga souvenir items at may mga maliliit din po na tiangge sa loob. So, mae-enjoy po 'yan."
The centerpiece of the display is a towering Christmas tree that stands at 70 feet, created using reusable materials, according to the local government unit (LGU).
Even the Calamba City Hall shines brightly with colorful LED lights, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Boholano added, "'Yung blessings na natatanggap ng mga Calambeño, hindi lang po 'yung material blessings. Also 'yung spiritual, good health, and 'yung talagang in the context of a family."
Food stalls are scattered around the plaza, ensuring visitors won't go hungry during their leisurely strolls.
The Christmas display will be a nightly attraction, delighting visitors until January 2024.
