A 28-year-old man in Barangay Pahina Central, Cebu City discharged reportedly a firearm he was about to sell.
He was arrested by personnel of Carbon Police Station 5 evening on April 1, 2025. The buyer was also nabbed for alleged obstruction of justice.
The incident happened in Sitio Omega, Pahina Central.
Confiscated from the suspect is a homemade .22-caliber revolver and three bullets.
It was learned that the suspect was about to sell the gun. The discharge, police said, was supposedly to test the firearm.
The suspect thought that because the gun would not give off a loud sound, he assumed no one would bother raise a complaint.
However, when he was about to be apprehended, the 64-year-old buyer meddled reportedly that led to his arrest as well for obstruction of justice.
