Local candidates in Nueva Ecija gathered for multiple peace covenant ceremonies, including one in Peñaranda, ahead of the 2025 elections.
Candidates participated in a unity walk and interfaith rally at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, where they signed a pledge of commitment to ensure clean and peaceful elections.
A similar event was held in Jaen, led by Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Director Col. Ferdinand Germino.
Security was heightened around San Agustin Church, as Jaen is among the seven areas in the province under the Commission on Elections’ (COMELEC) yellow category, indicating a need for closer monitoring.
