Hundreds of livestock owners in Asingan, Pangasinan, received free deworming and vaccination services for their farm animals through a program led by the Municipal Agriculture Office.

The initiative has so far benefited 507 farmers, ensuring the health of their cattle, carabaos, sheep, and goats.

Officials said the program aims to prevent livestock losses by keeping animals in good condition.

“Kailangan natin ito upang ma-absorb talaga 'yung nutrition na kinakain ng baka. Kung infested siya ng parasite sa loob ng katawan niya, hindi niya makukuha na lumaki at lumusog. Pwedeng ikalugi ng ating magsasaka iyon,” Hanzon Paragas, Agriculturist II of the Municipal Agriculture Office, said.

Local authorities continue to encourage more farmers to take part in the program to sustain healthy livestock and improve productivity in the agricultural sector.
