The BJMP-Naujan District Jail turned into a place of laughter and warmth on Saturday, February 22, as six children of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) joined a special outreach event inside the facility.

As part of BJMP Mimaropa’s “Kalinga sa Anak ng PDL Program,” the children received hygiene kits, food packs, and gifts while also taking part in dental awareness, storytelling, and painting activities.

“Recognizing the importance of family connection and communication for the PDLs, the initiative aims to bring hope, comfort, and essential support to their children, reinforcing the BJMP’s commitment to community service and social responsibility,” BJMP MIMAROPA Regional Information Officer Jail Officer 3 Joefrie Anglo, said.

He said the BJMP continues to reach out to families of inmates to strengthen bonds and provide much-needed support.

The children’s smiles and excitement reflected their gratitude, as they spent quality time with their loved ones despite their circumstances.

BJMP Regional Director Jail Senior Superintendent Clarence Mayangao said the bureau will keep finding ways to uplift PDL families and bring hope to the community.
