The local government of Davao City has turned over new response assets to different offices on Friday, December 27, 2024.

These new assets, which include fiber boats, disaster trucks, and emergency vehicles, will be distributed to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), City Engineer’s Office, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Transport and Traffic Management Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, Task Force Davao, and Davao City Police Office.

“Dako kaayo nig support sa atoang pagahatag og services sa atoang kaigsuunan kay tungod ang Davao City dako kaayo siya og area and daghan kaayo tag constituents nga kinahanglan nato serbisyuhan,” CDRRMO Head, retired Colonel Alfredo Baluran, said.

The budget was sourced from the disaster fund of the city government.

“Ang budget ani 5% na disaster fund kini siya naapil ni siya didto sa local risk reduction and management investment fund namo,” Baluran added.

The local government has focused on flood control projects and obtaining disaster and emergency response vehicles to address the flooding problem in the city.
