By mid-morning, students fill a designated study area inside a mall in Dagupan City, turning what is supposedly idle time into productive hours.
The space, provided by Nepo Mall, serves as a quiet and convenient spot where students can work on assignments, review lessons, or simply wait for their next class.
“Binigyan namin ng maagang regalo ang mga estudyante natin ng isang space para mag-aral at gumawa ng assignments nila,” Danica Aquino, the mall’s marketing officer, said.
The study zone offers free Wi-Fi, charging stations, and a calm environment conducive for learning.
For Steven Nash Macabenta, a first-year architecture student, the space has been a game changer.
“May ganito palang place for students. Napaka-convenient po sa amin, lalo na kung vacant time namin,” Macabenta said.
Hannah Michaela Pacura, a fourth-year nursing student preparing for her board exams, spends up to six hours here to maximize her review sessions.
“Sa amin po bilang estudyante, naghahanap kami ng lugar to study. Grateful kami dito sa Aral Zone,” Pacura said.
While the facility is free, the mall management reminds users to observe guidelines, including keeping phones on silent mode, avoiding noise, and not littering.
Food and drinks are allowed but must be consumed responsibly.
