The Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Barangay Matab-ang, Toledo City in midwest Cebu has held its 4th Day Novena in preparation for its 12th Parish Fiesta on December 8, 2024.

Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma presided over the Holy Mass, with Fr. Ricardo Cañete, Episcopal Vicar of Archdiocese of Cebu District 5; Fr. Jose de Dios III, parish priest, and other visiting priests, according to a post on The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu.

Archbishop Palma emphasized in his homily that “humans as we are, we commit sins.”

“Only the Virgin Mary is conceived without original sin,” Palma underscored.

“Yet, though sinful, let us journey with Mary in faith because she will surely lead us to Her Son, who came to save us all,” Palma underscored in his homily.

“Taliwala sa problema, kaguol, sa dili perpekto[ng] kahimtang, uban nato si Mama Mary niining panaw, pagpakita nga love kita ni Lord. Kita, bisan makasasala, kuyog kita ni Maria padulong sa iyang anak nga mianhi aron pagluwas nato,” the archbishop added.
