Four green sea turtles were released back into the sea in Currimao, Ilocos Norte.
According to the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), the turtles were hatched at a local hatchery under their watchful care.
The release marks a success in the ongoing protection of these endangered creatures.
MENRO also noted that the area is home to many more sea turtles.
Local residents have been urged to continue protecting these marine treasures.
The local government expressed gratitude to the community for their dedication to safeguarding the sea's natural resources.
