At least 60 families who were displaced by a fire in Barangay Maunlad, Puerto Princesa City in Palawan received aid from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

The fire destroyed 34 homes, leaving the families sheltered temporarily in an evacuation center at Purok Waling-Waling.

Officers from the Puerto Princesa City Jail Male Dormitory, along with social workers, personally visited the evacuation center to distribute assistance.

The team handed out hygiene kits, grocery packs, and organized a feeding program for displaced residents.

According to Jail Officer 1 Renald Baldonado, the BJMP's effort aligns with their commitment to supporting the government in creating a safer and more progressive society.

BJMP officers continue to coordinate with the local government to ensure aid reaches all affected families.
