A boom truck operator died after he was electrocuted while installing solar lights in Conner, Apayao.
The accident occurred on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
The victim was identified as Engr. Sonny Atiwag. He was working on a local government project to set up solar panels.
Based on police investigation, the truck’s boom touched a live wire accidentally, causing Atiwag to be electrocuted.
Atiwag fell from the truck, hitting a barricade before landing on the ground.
He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
