Despite the heavy rain and strong winds from consecutive storms in the Ilocos Region, tree planting activities in Ilocos Norte continue.
A group, together with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) CENRO Ilocos Norte, participated in a tree planting event at the Ranger Station in the town of Carasi.
The initiative supports the call to care for nature to combat the effects of climate change.
Participants in the program enjoyed the activity while learning the importance of trees as a shield against storms.
