Two rescued falcons and a sea turtle were returned to their natural habitats in Ilocos Norte, where they were freed to roam and thrive.

A local resident found the falcons at a field. The birds were handed them over later to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

The birds were later released at Paoay Lake where they can continue living freely in their natural surroundings.

While falcons are not listed as endangered, DENR said it is important to preserve their well-being.

Meanwhile, a fisherman surrendered a sea turtle to maritime officials in Currimao.

The turtle was then released off the coast of Barangay Maglaoi with the help of the DENR and maritime team, ensuring it could safely return to the ocean.
