A P5-million Tourist Rest Area opens in Olango Island, Lapu-Lapu City.

The Tourist Rest Area in Barangay Santa Rosa, Olango Island gives a welcoming space to local and foreign tourists. It features a "pasalubong" center where tourists can buy locally made souvenirs, and wile away time at a coffee shop.

It also boasts of spacious waiting area and comfort rooms.

The Tourist Rest Area will also serve as a venue for micro, small, and medium enterprises to sell their products.

The structure was erected through the congressional fund of Lapu-Lapu City Lone District Representative Cindi King-Chan.

The inauguration on October 10, 2024 was graced by city and barangay officials.
